Our Christmas...

This holiday season was awesome, so crazy busy that I am surprised that our house is actually still intact, but a seriously great season.

Christmas itself was great this year. Eliana and Gabe were so fun to watch Christmas morning. We kept presents simple but still really fun. Eliana wanted to sing happy birthday for Jesus...which we did, complete with a candle...lol
My sister came home, as well as a couple of my cousins that have been off on their own adventures and we were able to collect most of my family to spend Christmas day together. It has been a long time since so many of us where able to gather which made it extra special.

Boxing Day was a super fun reunion as well, as all of us cousins that grew up together got together for a night of games and spontaneous nativity scene recreation. My family means the world to me and it was so great to reconnect with everyone.

New Years we went and hung out at the Haak farm and enjoyed some hot dogs and a hay ride. I was super impressed with how powerful tractors are!! That thing was pulling us through a lot of snow and up some pretty slippery hills!!
Eliana was quite impressed with the stars... she spent most the hayride looking up saying "wow...mommy (l)ook! Stars" It was pretty cute. Ed seemed to enjoy his time as well and was mostly impressed by how well his new rabbit fur hat worked.
Gabe just slept.
After the hayride we came home and spent the rest of the evening playing some games and watching a movie with some friends.

Everyone got a flu New Years day so we hung out with my parents as my mom kept tabs on all of us sickies. Eliana was the only one to escape totally unscathed. Gabes flu hit him as we were traveling up to see Eds family. Poor little guy. Gabe recovered but our van is still suffering and I am quite glad that it is cold outside or we may have all scummed to the fumes...lol

So yes overall our holiday was really good. Lots of family time and great memories with the kids. Eliana loved 'Jesus birthday' and all the sweets. Gabe refined his crawling and ate his fair share of wrapping paper. Ed and I got to spend time together which is always so fun.

We're pretty darn blessed.
