My House is Shaking...

Literally.

I keep thinking that I must have a huge and massively uneven load of laundry in that is causing all the awful noise and tremors that have been shaking my house all day long.

Well ok its only 11 am but seriously it gets old fast.

So what is causing this terrestrial unrest in my home??
Bulldozers - Land Movers - and other such unholy massive equipment.
You see they are building a new road which goes right by our house...which in the end, I keep trying to remind myself, will be worth it.

As it is right now turning onto our frontage road has caused enough adrenaline pumping moments to last me a lifetime and don't even get me started on trying to get out of here onto that godforsaken highway....I have spent more time sitting there than I care to think about...inducing more than one grey hair I am sure. (ugg and who needs that!?!)

Ok - I feel better getting that off my chest.

Just a Great Day

So the other day I felt inspired (mostly because I looked at the photos hanging on my wall) to get the kids all done up and take them out for a photo shoot.  In the past these outings have been disasters.  I have a plan - and nothing goes according to it - and I end up a stressed out grumpy mess.  So this time I thought I would try something different...I made the loosest plan possible.
It looked something like this:  Get the kids clean (if they stay that way great), head out to a local orchard (if weather or location fall through oh well), and follow the kids around and try to get some decent photos (a kid directed day - how bad could it be!?)

And you know what?! It actually worked.
I know I am stunned too.
And the very best part...is that I had an awesome day just playing and having fun with my kids...that just does not happen enough.  I too often let all my plans and such get in the way. But not this day :)

So here are some of the pics of our mini adventure.

For normally being a big fan of goats Gabe didn't quite know what do when meeting one face to face

Well of course just as the camera comes out so does a case of the sillies

And apparently its catching on

For being the vivacious little girl that she is - she is not into heights or speed (must be genetic) but never the less she conquered the slide.

AND you can always trust Gabe to find the dirt and a shovel - he is a major sandbox junkie

Whoa!!

I feel as though the word 'busy' can describe us as a family fairly accurately during just about any day of the week....I mean we have two kids that automatically = busy.

BUT this last couple of weeks have taken busy to a whole new level.  The greatest part is that it has been good busy - family, friends, trips, moving forward with the business.  Very Cool.  Yay summer!! Now if we could get a few days of sun I can add beaching it to the list!

Here are some pics of our recent adventures...

James graduated on Saturday - So proud of my little bro - these are just a couple of the family pics we got

Then we took off for a few days to visit with Ed's little Sis....

Even after many many hours spent in the van it was still fun!

Even spent one night in a hotel...such fun.  They had an awesome water park and we just had a good time together as a family.

This is a favorite pit stop so we thought we would throw some rock in the river and take some pics at the same time. The only way to get Gabe to smile was to hold up the rock that he was going to throw next ...lol

Gabe on the search for more rocks.  I love my life.
