Pace and Pictures

So I am definately happy to report that July has settled down in the last week to a pace that I want. My sister has been up and we have been mostly beaching it and just relaxing. My goal is to keep August at a similar pace so that we can enjoy summer instead of watching it fly by WAY to fast!

I have been continuing to work on my photography, it always amazes me at just how much there is to know! I am trying more and more to shoot in
manual modes which is challenging right now. Jackie acctually needed some "Body Shots" for her agent down at the coast so we spent some time trucking around town and got a few. We picked a random day but the smoke was so thick that we were getting ash in our eyes and rained on...seriously what are the chances. Since then it has been sunny and perfect...lol

Anyway I thought I would end this random post with a pic of Jackie, I'm sure she'll love me for this, posing up a storm.

How Many....

So last night I think I had a bit of a ephipany....

There has been an on going conversation in our household since Gabriel was born as to weather or not we are going to have more children. I have been very nervous about making this desicion; afraid I was going to get it 'wrong'. I can see the benefits of either side. I loved growing up in a bigger family and all the comraderie that goes along with it. I think of who our future kids would b
e know that I would love them so much. I see what our family would look like in 10 years and find it tempting... BUT
I also love our little family right now as well. I am so enjoying that my kids are entering new stages and that we are able to follow them through. Holidays and traveling, even living abroad (all things I really want our children to experience) are much more likely to happen if we stay the size we are now.

I find myself swinging back and forth with all the pros and cons...worried about missing out on what God has for us as a family. And then my ephiphany...

God gives us the choice! It is not a matter of right and wrong as much as what we as a couple decide to make our priorities and goals as a family. We will seek to honour God whatever the size of our family and I think that is what God will honour.

So I really am still stuck in the throws of indecision but I have more peace about the fact I am able to make that choice. I know some will agree and others will not but my main concern was to ensure that as a couple we sought God's will in this matter...and to know that He is just allowing us to choose is such a beautiful relief.

Eliana's Cinderella Cake

So Eliana has been pretty enthrawled with Princesses lately so I thought this cake was appropriate! I made the cake itself in bowls and pieced it together and then did all the vines in chocolate. The road is chocolate as well and the grass is just coconut. I'm pretty proud of myself even though its not perfect! I couldn't find white horses so we painted dollar store wild mustangs...lol. The little figurines are from a mega block set.

The Unveiling

So most of you know that I have been doing photography as a hobby for quite a while and now I have taken steps to legitimize my efforts. Basically the purpose of this new blog is to give prospective clients a chance to see what I can do as well as give them an idea of the packages and prices I offer. I plan on adding more to my gallery so feel free to pop in and check out what I have been doing with my 'spare' (HA!) time.

Also feel free to become a follower through the link on the sidebar or add me as a link on your blog!! :)

Look forward to hearing what your feedback

Holy Flip Flops Batman!!

Wow.
Hello Summer, have you met my exhausted rear end that is dragging itself from place to place to place just because you are soo short!!! I think we are trying to fit in 6 months of family outings and warm weather memories into about a month! We are definately enjoying ourselves and our trips and visits and such but our poor house and other such chores are being sadly neglected.
I have been doing a ton of photography it feels like, which is great, but I really need to now sit down and just focus on my edits before brides come a swinging!!

I know my blogging has slowed to a bit of a stand still but by the looks of things I am not the only one :)

I think we are all just soaking in as much Vit D as we can, which is a definate good thing. I thought I would leave you with an image that seems to capture the feel of my summer thus far. Have a wonderful summer, I look forward to hearing about it!

P.S. - Capture Photographic my new venture...I will be unveiling my new blog/hobby/buisness hopefully in the near future!
